In the true spirit of the name of the page... craigs-random-blog, and the spirit of my mind, heres a touch of randomness...
After watching C-SPAN for about 30 minutes tonight while channel surfing, I realized that our NC Rep. Foxx (R) is a freaking idiot and that Ohio's Reps. for dist 17 and 13 (i think) are actually on the ball with what is wrong and needs to be done to correct a lot of the problems that this country is facing. As you can tell... I'm a democrat. A PROUD democrat. A proud democrat that until recently has lived in a red state... No, I didn't move, but for the first time in a long time, NC voted blue on the last presidential election.
I am up at 11:30 typing my 2nd or 3rd ever blog simply because my wife is on a business meeting out of town and my daughter is at my in-laws' tonight. I think that I am going to like the layout of blogger.com.
I've interviewed for 2 different jobs in the last 2 days. Yesterday was for the customer care call center where my mom works. I would basically be handling complaints all day (a far stretch from every other day of my life). I feel that the interview went ok, but I still have that bad feeling of not getting the job. I think that may be because I am wanting it too much. I hate where I am now. I am currently in insurance sales. I have been in sales for the last 19 months, and the last year has been insurance. I simply dont like a commission only based job.
My interview today was with a company that reconditions hospital equipment. If I get the position, I will be in charge of maintaining their webpage inventory and some marketing for other websites that they list their products on. I would probably also be their pc tech guy, which would rock.
As far as which job would I rather do... The web and pc job hands down. The tough decision comes down to driving distance (one is 12 miles, one is 40-45), pay, benefits, and potential for growth and stability. All of this is assuming that I am even offered the positions. Because of my luck, I have a feeling that I am going to be offered either both jobs, or neither.
I guess that I'll leave with that for tonight. I am getting sleepy and making too many spelling mistakes that I'm having to correct.
